I could be wrong, but it looks a lot like Amanda Dickson, a child of rape. Her mother was a slave and her father her mother's owner. She became one of the wealthiest black women in the US in 1885 when the Georgia Supreme Court upheld her claim to her paternal estate upon the death of her father David Dickson. All in all an interesting turn of events, two wrongs don't make a right, but this does seem like a case of the best coming out of the worst...
